Richard Pederson

Richard Pederson has more than 15 years experience in the Oil & Gas industry. Eight years ago, Richard met Ray Marler at a small pipefitting company's Christmas Party and Ray asked him if he wanted to come work for him instead. The rest was history. When asked how he ended up in Oil & Gas, his reply was, "It was pretty much just what a kid did after High School in Rocky."

Richard was born and raised in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta and spent his childhood enjoying the advantages of that area. Richard spent the summers on the river kayaking and canoeing, and heading west for some camping. In the winters, he headed for the ski hills. One of Richard's cherished memories is partaking in the Saskatchewan Centennial Canoe Quest with his dad, a 16 day, 1000km canoe race from La Loche Saskatchewan to Flin Flon Manitoba in 2005.

Richard's association with the Whiskey Club makes him unavailable for early meetings every second Friday. 😉

Richard's Dad was in the Oil & Gas industry for his whole career and also owned Voyageur Adventure tours, a canoe guide and outfitting company that ran tours on the North Saskatchewan River. Richard's Mom worked at the Rocky Hospital for 35 years in the lab and x-ray departments.

Richard moved to Red Deer in 2010 and married his wife, Katie, in 2013. Katie and Richard love to travel and spend their summers camping. Richards enjoys collecting vinyl records and is a member of the Red Deer Whiskey Club.
